Steeped in Mercy - an invitation from the Network for Mercy Education to share in dialogue with persons committed to ministry in service to Mercy education.
Steeped - Filled, infused, imbued...
Steeped in Mercy - an invitation to gather, to reflect, strengthen, learn, renew, one's commitment to be faithful to the charism, core values and tradition of Mercy.
Steeped in Mercy is a program designed for persons who wish to make a formal commitment to read, reflect, pray and share on what it means to be called to the ministry of Mercy education.
The image of tea reminds all in Mercy of Catherine McAuley's words for her Sisters at the House of Mercy in 1841: “Will you tell the Sisters to get a good cup of tea…when I am gone and to comfort one another.” (1841)
This encouragement to gather in common, pray and reflect, and move forward in hope and trust is offered through time and ours to accept at this time.
